Villingen-Schwenningen – An apprenticeship that really suits you. A study that challenges and is fun every day. A job that is more than just a job. A further education that really moves you forward. Anyone who sets the right course in professional life will bequeaked by success, fulfillment and an existence that stands on safe feet. The chances on the labor market are better than ever before! But what path to take, how to get the right decision? Jobs for Future provides answers: From 22nd to 24th September, around 250 exhibitors will give insights into various professional fields, present courses of study, seminars and further training courses and often have concrete job offers in their luggage. Good prospects even for short-term decision-makers: Many apprenticeships and jobs can be filled immediately! The trade fair for jobs, training and further education, studies at the Villingen-Schwenningen exhibition center is open every three days from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission and parking are free.

Don’t search for long, but get into conversation directly: Without an appointment, visitors can get in touch directly with personnel managers, masters, student advisors, lecturers, training and labor market experts, ask questions, get individual advice and get first-hand tips. At many stands, trainees or students are also on site who give an authentic insight into their everyday training or study life. “As a regional economic development agency, personal exchange with exhibitors and visitors to the Jobs for Future is enormously important,” emphasizes Henriette Stanley, Managing Director of Wifög Schwarzwald-Baar-Heuberg. “No other format offers this possibility in this form. Here we are present as a region and enter into a direct dialogue with specialists and workers, trainees and companies.”

Professionals: Living job market

From geriatric care assistants to machining mechanics – the job offers at Jobs for Future are diverse. Regional and international companies are desperately looking for employees. Specialists and managers, interns and young professionals, students, temporary staff and career changers are in demand. Software developers (m/f/d), electrician (m/f/d) or mechatronics technician (m/f/d) will find what they are looking for at many stands. The choice is also wide in the social sector: Nursing and care professionals (m/f/d), social workers and educators (m/f/d) can make initial contacts with the future employer at Jobs for Future as well as educators (m/f/d). Media-savvy people are happy about a total of 15 volunteer positions, including online and sports volunteers. Visitors can also find up-to-date job offers on the large job market pinboard in Hall D.

Smart courses of study: From food management to protective police

The choice is huge: Every year, the number of possible courses and subjects is growing. Once you have decided on a direction, many more questions arise: dual study or directly to university? Are internships or stays abroad possible? And what prospects do you have after graduation? In personal conversations, the professionals answer all important questions at the exhibition stands. The favorite business administration is now available in many different, exciting disciplines, for example “food management” or “personnel management”. At the University of Police, you enroll in a bachelor’s degree with a focus on “protective police”, “criminal police” or “criminal police IT”. For undecided people, the Studium Plus is suitable, in which training and study are combined: At SHW Brake Systems GmbH, the next generation completes a bachelor’s degree in mechatronics and digital production and at the same time completes training as a mechatronics technician (m/f/d). At the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University, an equally long practical phase is spent every three months in the partner company. The great advantage of Jobs for Future: First collect information about studying at the stand of the Cooperative State University and then directly on to the potential employer!

Education? Yes, please!

Electronics technician, office management clerk or hairdresser: Popular professions that are fun, no question. But there is much more to discover! If you think outside the box, you will quickly find attractive alternatives at Jobs for Future. Nature lovers may consider training as a forester (m/f/d). At the stand of the Orthopädie + Vital Zentrum Piro, interested parties will learn what an orthopaedic technology mechanic does, and the experts at Straub packaging reveal what is behind the professional title “packaging agent technologist”. Prospective merchants for digitization management or the industrial clerk (m/f/d) with additional qualification “International Business Management” are very trendy. An apprenticeship in nursing is exciting: The nursing association provides detailed information about all nursing professions at the booth – with around 20 nursing homes that are actively looking for personnel.

From A for change tailoring to Z for two-wheel mechatronics: The Kreishandwerkerschaft Schwarzwald-Baar is on site with its guilds and presents over 130 apprenticeships. In addition, the professionals reveal how modern craftsmanship makes its contribution to climate rescue. At the stand of the Konstanz Chamber of Crafts, there is information on the various job profiles and where apprenticeships or internships are still available in the region. At the Südwestmetall stand, visitors can learn everything worth knowing about the working world of the metal and electrical industry at four multimedia terminals. The IHK Schwarzwald-Baar-Heuberg offers orientation for all those who are still at the very beginning as a strong corporate network in the region. The biema competence team supports on the way to becoming a dream job – for example with application training, professional job coaching or individual career advice.

Career kick further education

Further training qualifies for more demanding tasks and opens up new perspectives. The Regional Office for Continuing Vocational Training will find the right piece of the puzzle for everyone here: On the specialist area, experts advise on the various providers, offers and funding opportunities in a personal conversation on all three days. At the exhibition stands, visitors will find a wide range of coaching and consulting services, for example with a commercial-technical focus or on the subject of personality development. The Welcome Center Schwarzwald-Baar-Heuberg informs foreign professionals and international students about living and working in Germany.

Fair with action!

Participate, try out and discover new talents: At many stands, visitors can solve small job-specific tasks and test up close whether they like the profession – and above all would enjoy it. It will also be exciting in the truck in front of the exhibition halls: In the “ebm-papst Escape Room” teams have to remedy an unexpected power outage within 20 minutes and save a major event from cancellation. In the free workshops and short lectures in the forum in Hall C, professionals and trainees present exciting professional fields or give valuable tips, for example on the subject of online application or proper self-marketing. A great opportunity to explore strengths and weaknesses, ask questions, receive feedback and educate yourself in a safe environment!

Jobs for Future will open on Thursday, 22. September, 10 a.m. in the forum in Hall C by IHK President and patron of the Birgit Hakenjos fair. Jürgen Roth, Lord Mayor of the City of Villingen-Schwenningen, and Werner Rottler, President of the Konstanz Chamber of Crafts, say hello. Sylvia Scholz and Thomas Bleile give an insight into the specialist alliance Schwarzwald-Baar-Heuberg.
