Only a few days until the 74th edition of the Autumn Fair opens its doors from September 7th to 11th. With the big special show “Zäm Sicherheit! Blaulicht & Blackout”, the SportClub – Vorarlberg’s largest sports stage, the Messe Show Express presented by ÖBB and the varied family program – there are many new things to admire and discover.
The autumn fair is a place to meet friends and family, cultivate old acquaintances and enjoy a nice day together. This year, with the exception of Hypo Vorarlberg Hall 11, all the usual halls for the Autumn Fair are available for the seven subject areas of living & furnishing, house & crafts, household & kitchen, health & wellness, beauty & lifestyle, nutrition & enjoyment and family & information to disposal. In the 12 halls and on 18,000 m2 of outdoor space, 350 exhibitors present the latest trends, innovative products and services on Vorarlberg’s largest marketplace. In addition to the well-established trade fair classics such as the Burgenland winegrowers, the fashion show, the trade fair hennel and the Mohrenbräu business tent, an exciting program awaits visitors. For five days it’s time to see, hear, marvel and shop to your heart’s content.
A colorful supporting program
What happens when there is no more electricity? This year’s special show “Zäm Sicherheit! Blue Light & Blackout” in Hall 7 and in the south outdoor area. The organizations involved, the army, federal police, fire brigade, illwerke VKW, crisis intervention team, Red Cross, water rescue and the civil protection association, present the topic of “blackout” in an experience-oriented and informative manner. In Hall 3 things get sporty. With the SportClub, Vorarlberg’s largest sports stage is a guest at the Autumn Fair for the first time this year. It will be record-breaking, informative and exciting: total sport. Under the motto “Twelve Points for Fashion”, Nouba Events is bringing the largest fashion show to date to the stage in Hall 1. And it’s going to be even more colorful, bigger and more spectacular, because the annual fashion highlight has started with the Show Express trade fair, presented by the ÖBB, have grown. The extra show that takes place once a day in the afternoon with a quiz show, acrobatics and unique chances to win promises pure entertainment.
Adventure, games and fun await visitors in the varied family programme. There is laughing, romping, playing and above all exploring! On the children’s construction site in Hall 8, the craftsmen of tomorrow can hammer, screw and build. The fair rally takes the little ones through the autumn fair. Big and small can climb high in the open-air area and there is also plenty of fun on the fairground. There is also a free ice cream for every children’s admission ticket at the information center in the southern open-air area. Kids between the ages of 3 and 12 are well looked after on the five days of the fair in the children’s area in Hall 5, 1st floor, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Colorful market activity and fresh regional products straight from the producer can be admired at the farmer’s market in the northern open-air area. The arts and crafts street in Hall 9 amazes visitors with handmade and individually produced products and encourages exchange and purchase. For vintage lovers, the Carla Kilo Sale by Caritas Vorarlberg in Hall 5 leaves nothing to be desired.
Oktoberfest atmosphere in the Mohrenbräu tent
The Mohrenbräu hall 13 traditionally becomes the Mohrenbräu business tent at the autumn fair. During the days of the fair, traditional brass bands from near and far will play. A special highlight is the Dornbirn Brass Music Day on Saturday and the ORF morning pint on Sunday completes the traditional daily programme. Admission on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings is free for all guests after 6 p.m. On Thursday, the bands “Falke & Eule” and “Mir Drei zu viert” will give the musical start to the party nights in the Mohrenbräu economic tent, before “Da Rocka & da Waitler” take the stage at the blue light evening on Friday. The crowning glory of the party nights awaits visitors on Saturday at the Oktoberfest with the Albkracher – Dirndl skirt and party madness. In addition to the numerous musical highlights, the bars have their fixed place in the Mohrenbräu tent. With the bars from Rolling Cocktails, Conrad Sohm, the Kaffeemacher and Mr. John’s, a good party atmosphere is guaranteed from Thursday to Saturday from 5 p.m. Wine lovers can look forward to the popular wine arbor.
Colorful market activity and fresh region products directly from the producer, The farmers’ market in the Nord outdoor area brings the farm products directly from the farm to the visitiors. In addition to seasonal vegetables and fruits, salads and herds. a wide variety of delicacies such as bacon, smoked sausages, hearty mountain cheese, bread and cakes, fine schnapps, but also homemade jams and compotes are offered. This year exclusively also with a must press. With handmade and individually produced products, the Kunsthanwerk-Straße in Hall 9 amazes visitors and encourage exchange and purchase. Workpieces made of wood, ceramics, fabric, metal, glass, recycaled material reflect the colorful and versatile range of traditional craftsmanship. For vintage lovers, the Carla Kilo Sale of Caritas Vorarlberg in Hall 5 leaves nothing to be desired. In the café in hall 9, Carla’s furniture can be tried out directly with a cozy cup of coffee.
