【DE】BOOT & FUN INWATER: A touch of Côte d’Azur in Werder (Havel)

BOOT & FUN INWATER continues to grow: more boats, more exhibitors, more space – water sports-savvy and interested audiences – Satisfied exhibitors report very good sales and look forward to BOOT & FUN BERLIN from 24th to 27th. November 2022

Berlin/Werder (Havel) – Werder in Brandenburg, surrounded by lakes and the passing Havel, is located in the middle of Europe’s largest contiguous water sports area. BOOT & FUN INWATER knows how to stage this attractive location perfectly every year in late summer – also this year: From 2nd to 4th In September, the Inwater Boat Show transformed the flower city of Werder into Germany’s boat capital for the fifth time and brought the flair of the Côte d’Azur to Brandenburg. Under the open sky, the BOOT & FUN INWATER showed water sports at its best and attracted a water sports-savvy and wealthy audience to the marina in the Havelauen in Werder in the best weather.

Thousands of visitors came to Werder (Havel) on the first weekend of September, and experienced more than 150 boats of almost all segments in their element: From day cruisers such as compact sloeps and elegant sports boats to electric boats, travel and family boats and modern houseboats to sailboats and large luxurious yachts – friends and fans from water sports to Whether electrically operated foilboard or jet ski, SUP or water bike, canoe or kayak – fun athletes also got their money’s worth on site. The diverse offer in the sales pagodas along the harbor promenade – from high-quality accessories to functional equipment to a variety of services close to the boat – rounded off the offer on site.

Also this year, BOOT & FUN INWATER was able to record further growth: more boats, more exhibitors and brands on site and thus also a more than 20 percent larger event space. With its fifth edition, the Inwater Boat Show of the Berlin boat and leisure fair BOOT & FUN establishes itself as Germany’s largest water sports event in the inland water area. “With BOOT & FUN INWATER, we have established a high-quality and attractive water sports event here in Werder an der Havel – the Saint-Tropez of Germany -” says Daniel Barkowski, project manager of BOOT & FUN. “Before we meet in November for the indoor fair under the Berlin radio tower, it is always nice to spend the last days of summer together with exhibitors, partners and visitors in the open air. The atmosphere here in the Havelauen is simply special. The wide range and the constantly growing variety make up the attractiveness of the event. We are incredibly pleased that BOOT & FUN INWATER has become an integral part of the calendars of numerous exhibitors and brands.”

Exhibitor comments on BOOT & FUN INWATER 2022:

Tino Böttcher, Managing Director, T&R Yachthandel:

“Since the BOOT & FUN INWATER was in existence, we have been there. The opportunity to look and at the same time take test drives makes up the charm of this fair. Especially with a product that you also have to experience emotionally, it is incredibly important to be able to try it directly in the water. I have so many experiences that I associate with BOOT & FUN INWATER in Werder, just the network in which we move here. It feels like getting home.”

Frauke Jackson, Sales & Marketing Manager, Fischer Panda:

“We generally like fairs that take place outside, because there are usually many boat-savvy visitors who also want to do something about their boats and take the next step in development. Already on Friday we had many exciting conversations with people who came specifically. This is unusual, as the first day of the fair is usually rather quiet. Here in Werder, I particularly like how the fair is designed. You are really right on the water and the pagodas are a great idea, because everyone can present themselves well without getting into the enclosure with others. It is a very pleasant togetherness and super organized. We like to come here, especially in the dream weather: Where can you find such a job?”

Christoph Steinkuhl, Managing Director and Partner, A. W. Niemeyer:

“A trade fair always lives from high-quality visitors and we already had it here in Werder on the first day. Customers book appointments early, are extremely well informed and ask subject-specific questions that they would like to have answered. It is incredibly well frequented here and it gets even better and bigger every year. For me, the BOOT & FUN INWATER is the most beautiful INWATER show in Germany. There should be more of it. In just over ten weeks, we will also be back at BOOT & FUN in the halls in Berlin. This combination of test drives here, the opportunity to ask questions and deal with the matter and then possibly sign the purchase contract at BOOT & FUN in Berlin about ten weeks later, is quite unique in Germany.”

Lasse Hochfeldt, Managing Director, Flin Solar:

“With our solar solutions for sailing and motor yachts, we are still a relatively young company. Originally, we had focused on sailboats because I come from sailing. Last November, when we were at BOOT & FUN in Berlin for the first time, we discovered the market for motor boats. Now we are here in Werder for the first time at BOOT & FUN INWATER and I think we will always be there from now on. I have had very good conversations so far, have already sent out a few offers and am good things that this results in a lot.”

Martin Schwarz, Sales Manager, Molabo:

“The BOOT & FUN in Werder is one of the few INWATER boat shows where we have always had great weather so far. This is particularly important to us because you have to experience e-mobility. Most people still have little experience with electric motors, but many prejudices that only falter when they take a lap on our demonstration boat, fly away their cap while accelerating and they are amazed at what this small engine can do. Here in Werder, we particularly like the fact that many boat builders from the region are there – original equipment manufacturers and shipyards. They also often think that e-mobility is complicated. We can sensationally demonstrate here that this is not the case. But we are also looking forward to BOOT & FUN in November. It’s also sugar.”

Annekathrin Fichtner, owner, Fichtner Marine:

“We have been with BOOT & FUN since the 90s and have supported the opportunity to see boats in the water right from the start. This is the best way to show off. It is a great pleasure to be able to present the boats here in Werder and it should be noted that the trade fair company is doing a very good job. We feel a very positive stress here, because with our products we offer a counterpart to everyday life. You come together with customers to plan good times for the future together.”

Hans- Joachim Menzel, owner, Flumi Water Sports:

“This is our first time at BOOT & FUN INWATER. We like the construction here in the harbor. We are a niche product with our wakeboard and water ski boats, because unfortunately this is prohibited in so many places in Germany. For us, the event here in Werder is a very good way to make our product come alive. We made an appointment directly with the interested parties who were there for a tour. It would be even nicer if there were other exhibitors with wakeboard and water ski boats here. I would very much like competitors on the ground, because we have certain advantages that we could then show instead of just describing them.”

Luca Hillebrand and Luca Hiller, Sales & Event Manager, Aston Martin Berlin:

“We are there for the second time and this year we are particularly satisfied because we are simply top and very centrally located. Everyone who is hungry has to pass us by. Joking aside, it’s a beautiful ambience, great weather, great people. You can see that the fair is attracting more and more audiences. There are many high-quality customers here who are very interested. If you can afford a boat, you can also afford a car. It makes perfect sense for us to be here and we will definitely come back next year.”
