Live edition under a new name offered a broad industry overview and a high network factor

From 03. to 04. In September, the optics industry met again at Messe Dortmund. Trade visitors expected a wide and attractive exhibition offer of the latest trends and product highlights, which they could watch, try out and order live. For the first time under the new name and look & feel of INTERLOOK, the exhibitors were able to exchange ideas with potential customers, inform them and present their offer centrally in the heart of NRW as well as network with national and international industry colleagues. Therefore, they are already looking forward to the upcoming INTERLOOK from the 11th to the 12th. February 2023.

 

Dortmund – At the start of the trade fair of the eye optics trade fair INTERLOOK, all industry participants were equally pleased about the personal exchange at the fair. Over two days, they took advantage of the offer of over 100 exhibitors from the categories frames, accessories, glasses, contact lenses, hearing acoustics, screening and diagnostic devices as well as training and further education opportunities and IT solutions. The clear leadership and structure of the new INTERLOOK as well as the supporting program and relaxed network areas were well received, so that the atmosphere at the fair as a whole got the grade good.

 

According to an independent survey, the participants came to the fair overall with the intentions to inform themselves about the current market, the latest industry trends and innovations, but also to maintain business contacts, to test products and materials and to order products directly. “And it is precisely this interplay of exchange, networking and product experience that INTERLOOK as an eye optics trade fair could make possible again under a new name,” says Dortmund’s trade fair managing director Sabine Loos. “This live trade fair experience offers the trade audience an overview of the latest trends, eye-catchers and products to touch, but also the chance for personal intensive discussions and thus an ideal basis for future business decisions and for their own success, says Loos.

 

Good organization, pleasant ambience and Dortmund as a place to be

 

INTERLOOK has been valued for years as an order platform in and around North Rhine-Westphalia. Whether for new customer acquisition or as a meeting place with existing customers, the exhibitors appreciate the good starting position in Dortmund. “Den Dortmund in particular is very important to us as a location, as we have many customers in this environment and can and have already been able to generate new customers,” says Claudia Hollergschwandtner, Managing Director at HERZBLUT eyewear. But good contacts could also be made beyond the city limits. “INTERLOOK at the Dortmund location was and is of great importance to us, as we have the opportunity to reach customers from the Rhine/Ruhr area here,” emphasizes Guido Wolf, Managing Director at Wolf Continental. “With our high-quality stand and our large area, we have a lot of presence at the fair. We were also able to inspire guests from the Netherlands with our large brand offer and win them over as new customers.” ETINA EYEWEAR CULTURE was also able to present itself ideally at this year’s trade fair: “We have been on the glasses & Co very often and are now exhibiting at INTERLOOK for the first time. We were really impressed by the great organization this year and we were able to make contacts all the way to the north of Germany. In addition, INTERLOOK is also very important to us, as we can win many customers from the Ruhr area here due to the central location.

 

All participants at the fair expected a professional exchange again in a relaxed atmosphere and on an equal footing – only in a new ambience of INTERLOOK. This was also received by the exhibitors: “We liked the design this year and we were very satisfied with the atmosphere, says Fabian Heinen, Account Manager, JULBO. “The set-up worked smoothly and the communication with the trade fair employees was familiar.” Hans Reinhardt Bader, handesl representative at DUTZ Eyewear, adds “It was a great atmosphere and you could kindly exchange ideas with both visitors and exhibitors. We also found the organization of the fair and the division in the exhibition hall really good and clear.” An uncomplicated and service-oriented organization – even beyond national borders – enabled exhibitors to concentrate directly on their “trade fair success on site,” says Stefanie Ruebig, Area Manager, Nanovista. “We are really highly satisfied. We organized our trade fair appearance from our headquarters in Spain. And the organization with the fair worked smoothly – also from abroad. Everyone is super nice, open and very helpful and the flow of information went perfectly.”

 

The exchange with other exhibitors is also well and gladly used at INTERLOOK. “We were able to do good networking here and also get to know other exhibitors. We have been coming for years and will continue to be able to exhibit in the future,” says Christian Eydam, Managing Director at Hamburg Eyewear. Paul Nestler, sales representative at Leipzig Eyewear, found the quality of the exhibitors to be “very good.” In order to establish themselves as a start-up, they like to use the fair for an exchange with established brands. “Why INTERLOOK in Dortmund, as a central location in NRW, was also a good point of contact for us.”

 

This will be the case again next year, when the optics industry will change from the 11th to the 12th. February at INTERLOOK 2023.
