At the Jobs for Future from the 15th to the 17th September in the Maimarkthalle Mannheim, interested parties can still get an apprenticeship for the training year that has just begun – career orientation and information from companies and vocational schools – Around 300 exhibitors offer tips and personal advice for all phases of professional life – free admission
A good education is the basis for a professional life that – depending on talent and interests – opens numerous doors: specializations, master craftsmen, studies, self-employment. But how to get an overview in the multitude of apprenticeships? The Jobs for Future offers orientation for all those who want to know which professions there are, what skills you need to bring with you and where to get an internship or an apprenticeship – even now, shortly after the start of the training year. The fair for jobs, training and further education, studies in the Maimarkthalle Mannheim is open from the 15th to the 17th. September, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free.
Orientation means asking. Crafts or industry? Classic dual training in company and vocational school or vocational school? How can I contribute my creativity, strength and interests in the best possible way? What do I learn in professions such as surgical mechanic, health care clerk or draftswoman? What does everyday life look like, what do I even feel like? There is something to try at many stands: trainees and their instructors show how it works and what you do, for example in crafts or at Südwestmetall. In trade and nursing professions, you can also find out at the stand what is important and what makes the appeal of the respective professional profile. The insiders are already chatting out of the sewing box. Very important: Ask questions! For example, after an internship. The teams at the stands are happy to provide information, have the right addresses and tips for the application. But you can also point out professions that you didn’t have on your screen at all and that may fit even better and are more fun than the desired profession.
Short-term training place. The last-minute training place exchange of the craft industry makes this possible. Special advice, concrete help with placement and uncomplicated application should help to get many young people into training as quickly as possible. The Employment Agency also provides free training places in various industries. If you want to learn about the future prospects of an industry, you have come to the right place at the stands of chambers and associations. And if you don’t have a plan yet, you may get to know your own skills and needs better during a voluntary social year or voluntary service.
