From 8th to 10th November, the belektro trade fair will show new trends in the field of lighting at the Berlin exhibition center.
36 percent of all Germans already rely on smart lamps and luminaires, as a BITKOM survey from September shows. The trend towards digitally controllable and sustainable lighting solutions does not stop at private households, but is also gaining in importance in the public and property sector. The accompanying specialist forums are primarily aimed at architects, planners and craftsmen.
Smart lighting solutions to touch and get to know
In the light segment, belektro can score points with many well-known manufacturers. Among other things, TRILUX, Zumtobel, Regiolux, RZB, LEDvance and Signify show, among other things, new lighting trends for office, security or street. TRILUX presents with the LED light Tugra how modern luminaire design can enhance functional industrial architectures as well as modern new work areas. The luminaire manufacturer PRACHT focuses entirely on sustainability and presents the KATLA ONE luminaire, which is made entirely of recycled plastic. Regiolux presents the alevo luminaire, which simulates the course of daylight with Tunable White technology. LEDvance also relies on human centric lighting with the VIVARES HCL system. SteinEL also focuses on sustainable and digital solutions. The Connected Lighting series convinces with its low energy consumption. LED sensor lighting systems such as the RS PRO 5100 SC or the R-Series luminaires, in combination with Bluetooth networking and intelligent indoor control, enable significant energy savings.
Professional accompanying program as a highlight for the capital region
On all three days of the event, belektro, in cooperation with renowned experts from science, planning and the exhibiting industry, will present expert discussions on the subject of lighting. This year, the focus will be on sustainable and digital lighting solutions in particular.
Forum City and Street Lighting discusses energy crisis and climate change on the 8th. November
What challenges do large and small municipalities face today in street lighting? How smart and how sustainable is street lighting currently? How can animal and environmental protection be taken into account? And what subsidies are there for municipalities? These are just some of the questions that the Fachforum Stadt- und Straßenbeleuchtung on the 8th. November, from 9.30 a.m. in the Ulm area in Hall 2.2. On the 8th November, the LICHT-DIALOG focuses on the topic of sustainability. Experts give lectures in public expert discussions on the topics of energy-efficient buildings, light pollution, criteria for sustainable lighting solutions and climate neutrality as a competitive factor.

Architect program DIALOG HOCH 5 presented on the 9th November smart solutions for offices and home office
The office of the future is the focus of the architecture forum DIALOG HOCH 5, which will take place on the 9th. November together by German-Architects and the Deutsche Lichttechnischen Gesellschaft e.V. (LiTG). The focus of the dialogue is on the project Up! Berlin. Architect Martin Jasper presents how he converted the building, built in 1978 and most recently used as Galeria Kaufhof, into a state-of-the-art working space. Lauren Touhey-Otto from the interdisciplinary planning office Kinzo then talks about contemporary working environments and the interfaces to the home office. Carla Wilkens from the international lighting design office Lichtvision shows essential aspects of successful lighting planning for offices and workplaces. In the afternoon she invites you to a guided tour of the belektro. Elias Baumgarten (editor-in-chief Swiss-Architects) discusses the opportunities and challenges for architecture, interior design and lighting design in the context of sustainability in a panel discussion.

LIGHT DIALOGUE on the 10th November: Light and lighting in the digital age
On the 10th November, everything revolves around digitization in the LICHTDIALOG. The issue of standards is also not neglected. The innovations that light and lighting bring with them in the digital age must also be reflected in the current set of rules and standards. Mario Klietsch from Westphal GmbH explains future standards in smart cities.

The SmartHK trade fair will take place from the 8th to the 10th. November 2022 at the same time as belektro at the Berlin exhibition center.
