【DE】Next Generation Crafts: Inspiration and know-how in the focus of GET Nord

The enormous demand for young talent and skilled workers concerns the electrical trade and the SHK industry alike. Every young talent gained for an apprenticeship and the subsequent career in one of the two forward-looking professional fields not only makes a valuable contribution to the implementation of solutions to the building challenges of our time. Craftsmen with passion are multipliers for innovative ideas and processes and at the same time role models that can inspire young people for the craft.


GET Nord therefore uses its comprehensive supporting program from the 17th to the 19th. November in Hamburg full of knowledge transfer, best practices and inspiration. In addition, the only joint trade fair for electrical, sanitary, heating and air conditioning of the “Next Generation Handwerk” in Germany offers a stage on which young talents can prove their know-how. At the same time, start-ups present their innovative business ideas, products and services for the first time at GET Nord. Last but not least, this year, the fair is cooperating extensively with influencers from the industry for the first time and creating places with the GET Nord Creator Stage and other forums that should whet the appetite for the versatile trades of building technology with valuable practical tips.


The champions of the SHK industry are chosen


On the 17th and 18th. November 2022 the competitions within the framework of the German Championships of Plant Mechanics SHK and Plumbers are expected. After the best in the SHK trade have already been selected twice at GET Nord, this year the best plumbers will also award their winners and thus German champions at GET Nord. Every year, graduates of a craft vocational training fight for the federal victory in their trade. Many have to assert themselves against the competition at several levels of competition: from guild to chamber and state level to the federal competition of the state winners. The current Federal President has been patronage of the performance competition since 1951.


Solve tricky tasks with skill and brains


Apprentices and prospective electrical professionals can prove their skills in the PowerPark, the learning and practice hotspot of GET Nord. On the 17th and 18th November 2022, theoretical knowledge can be practically tried out here between 09:00 and 18:00 and professional “head” can be shown. Tasks from building and information technology are waiting to be solved. Well-known exhibitors are at your side with words and deeds. In addition, well-known content creators of the craft industry give an exciting insight into trend topics of the future.



The TechnikPark of the SHK-Handwerk offers trainees from the fields of sanitary, heating and air conditioning technology the opportunity to show what they can do on all three days of the fair for small technical tasks. The focus is on the fun of the profession, the performance comparison serves as an incentive. Winnings are drawn daily among the participants. One or the other giveaway is also waiting for the trainees.


Start-ups present their business idea


Skill and creativity are also the focus of the start-up area. Young companies present their innovative business idea, service or a new product once in a pitch of around seven minutes each. The pitches take place daily on the stage of the GET Nord Forum. The advantage for craft businesses, planners, consultants and people from the management level: They get a direct impression of every start-up and learn more about the founders first-hand. Numerous other networking opportunities offer an additional framework for the exchange between start-ups and established companies.


Experience plumber crafts live


For the fifth time, the market square of the plumbing with its special show is represented at GET Nord. In 2022, trade visitors will also be offered a lot from the field of plumbing trade. For example, you can find out about innovations in the field of materials and workmanship and examine the practical implementation. The exchange between industry and crafts is also to be stimulated. The main topic is the plumbing workshop 4.0. Here, the plumber trade is presented with the possibilities that digitization offers for the craft.



Know-how on all stages


Whether at the ENERGY Forum and the IT Forum, in the GET Nord Arena or on the Creator Stage: Numerous experts provide valuable information and impulses on the diverse topics and challenges in the industry on all three days of GET Nord 2022. This benefits not only the employees of the many craft businesses from northern Germany and beyond, but ultimately all building technology actors from industry, trade, planning and architecture.
