Trade fairs FISCH&FEINES, ReiseLust and CARAVAN Bremen offer a lot of new things


It has something of an adventure every year when visitors are guests at the Bremen exhibition center on the first weekend of November. Because at FISCH&FEINES and ReiseLust, they familiarize themselves with often unknown tastes and new holiday opportunities. From Friday to Sunday, 4th to 6th November 2022, the third in the league of the trade fair trio, CARAVAN Bremen, also promises a variety of discoveries.

Enjoyment high 170

At the Genussmesse and the associated CRAFT BEER EVENT, around 170 exhibitors present their handcrafted and sustainably manufactured products, which have consistently undergone a strict quality inspection. “This distinguishes us from comparable trade fairs in the north,” emphasizes Claudia Nötzelmann, Head of Trade Fairs & Special Interest at MESSE BREMEN.


There are many popular exhibitors, but also various first exhibitors, including Leuchtenburger Microgreens. Since the beginning of the year, the Schwaneweder have been breeding seedlings of broccoli, peas, various herbs and much more. “Our managing director had a lot of contact with star chefs who were looking for something like this,” reports employee Andrea Reese. “We tried it for ourselves first.” The advantage of micro vegetables: “It contains even more healthy nutrients than the adult vegetables.”


Steffen Göhrs from NB Trockenfleisch GmbH presents his “Northern Biltong” for the first time at the fair. His goods, modelled on a specialty in southern Africa, are made by hand from meat from Lower Saxony pasture cattle. “The difference to American dried meat is mainly due to the mode of production,” he reports. Unlike Beef Jerky, his Biltong gently dry in thick, long pieces at low temperatures. “This way it does not become too dry and gets a very delicate consistency.”


Almost unlimited holiday pleasures

Not with Beef Jerky, but with its travel options, the USA is making a big look at MESSE BREMEN: as a partner country of ReiseLust. Timo Kohlenberg from the tour operator America Unlimited has gathered various destinations for this, including lesser-known ones. Oregon, for example, has a lot to offer nature lovers – but also gourmets. “Oklahoma, on the other hand, is the state with the most indigenous peoples and a lot of cowboy culture,” says Kohlenberg, who also presents his new company Australia Unlimited at the fair.


In addition to the USA, the approximately 160 exhibitors of ReiseLust present visitors with destinations all over the world and at home. “Apart from the possibility of talking directly to experts, the special thing is that many of the offers cannot be booked in travel agencies,” explains Kerstin Renken, Head of Audience Fairs at MESSE BREMEN.


Although people feel like traveling, the tourism industry is causing great concern – for example, there is a massive lack of young talent and skilled workers. “That’s why the Allianz Selbständiger Reiseunternehmen Bundesverband e.V. (asr) organizes the action Friday with ReiseLust to attract young talent,” explains Vice President Anke Budde. Throughout the day, pupils and students can inform themselves at selected and marked exhibitors, from 3 p.m. also in hall 4.1 at other companies and institutions. The expert Professor Dr. Alexander Dingeldey and business coach Tanja Bauer-Glück also explain training and study paths as well as job profiles.


One ticket = three trade fairs

The joint ticket costs 11 euros on www.messetrio.de, reduced 9.50 euros. At the box office on site you pay 13 euros, reduced 11.50 euros. Friday from 3 p.m. admission costs 5 euros online, 7 euros on site. For the CRAFT BEER EVENT, a solo ticket including trial swallowing can also be purchased, which is valid on Friday or Saturday from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. (online 5 euros, 7 euros on site).
