【DE】From abseiling device to pliers handle: Vertical Pro maps the spectrum of height work

Friedrichshafen – Climbing is not the same as climbing: Where some move from handle to handle in a sporty-dynamic way, others are on assembly at dizzying heights – still others save lives in crevices. A common platform for the various areas of application will be on the 25th and 26th. November 2022 the international trade fair for professional height work, rope access technology and climbing at the exhibition center in Friedrichshafen. “For the second time, the Vertical Pro offers the opportunity for interdisciplinary exchange at the interface between the industries,” says project manager Annika Raff to the industry meeting of the vertical professionals. “The trade fair platform with an extensive lecture program is aimed at everyone who is at height professionally.”

Together with the German Alpine Association (DAV), the International Adventure Park Association (IAPA) and other partners, such as the Fach- und Interessenverband für rope-supportte Arbeitstechniken e.V. (FISAT), the DRK Bergwacht Württemberg and the Working Group on Height Rescue of the Fire Brigades in Baden-Württemberg, the Vertical Pro depicts the range of rope and safety technology under one roof in two halls in November.

From the dual texture grip to the ninja course

Vertical Pro presents the latest trends in the fields of climbing handles, boulder mats, climbing hall systems and the like with numerous national and international exhibitors at the DAV climbing hall meeting Halls & Walls in Hall A7. The topic of sustainability is particularly important in the supporting program: In forums and panel discussions, experts inform, among other things, about corporate responsibility and diversity in route construction and climbing. Plenty of wall for product demonstrations, route construction workshops and of course the individual self-test awaits visitors to the boulder block in the Test + Demo Area. In addition, skill, endurance and explosive muscle strength can be proven in the Ninja Course.

Safety at height work

Climbers from industry, rescue, tree care and high ropes courses will also find what they are looking for on the Vertical Pro. For professional and commercial use, the trade fair not only forms a versatile range of products but also the opportunity for the exchange of concentrated expertise. The FISAT provides valuable impulses about standards in rope access technology again this year in the lecture program. Experts from the IAPA provide information, among other things, about effective marketing strategies on social media and the effects of the climate crisis on trees in high ropes courses. Particularly forward-looking developments for the rope and adventure garden industry – from innovative climbing harness to the app for inspection and maintenance – will again be awarded the IAPA Innovation Award at the Vertical Pro in 2022. Trussing system, turntable ladder, high ropes course elements with climbing wall, climbing tree and container tower are available for workshops, product demonstrations and deployment simulations. Whether climbing shoe, seat belt or winch: Here, equipment can be subjected extensively and realistically to the individual test.

Mountain rescue and altitude rescue

Rescuers in need: On the Vertical Pro, the DRK Bergwacht Württemberg and for the first time also the Working Group on Height Rescue of the Baden-Württemberg Fire Brigades give an insight into their work in fall protection as well as rescue from ups and downs with demonstrations and mission simulations.
