With therapie MÜNCHEN opens from the 28th to the 30th. November 2022 the new industry meeting for therapy and medical rehabilitation will open its doors in Munich. Physiotherapists, occupational and sports therapists as well as trainers and trainers of rehabilitation and health sports from all over southern Germany and Austria are expected. 110 exhibitors will present their products and services at the trade fair premiere. With a strong practical relevance, the congress program, consisting of scientific lectures, practical workshops and professional policy discussions, completes the event.
For the premiere of therapie MÜNCHEN, 110 exhibitors cover the entire everyday therapeutic practice for three days – from medical training equipment to the furnishing and equipment of practice rooms to innovative practice software. Under the motto “News perspectives on sports” ISPO Munich opens at the same time as therapie MÜNCHEN. At the world’s largest trade fair for sporting goods and sports fashion, training and fitness enthusiasts will find the latest products from the sports industry.
Through the cooperation with ISPO Munich, therapie MÜNCHEN benefits not only from the expansion of the trade fair offer but also from new partnerships for the congress. For example, the international term RUNNER’S WORLD presents possibilities of running therapy in a congress contribution and shows where the training as a running therapist or running coach begins. In the process, the participants get to know the basics of running practice and methodology and learn what contribution running therapy can make to improving the health of the body and psyche.
Cross-border exchange with Austria
As a special trade fair highlight, the Federal Association of Physiotherapists of Austria, Physio Austria, presents itself with its own stand at the trade fair. He answers interested therapists’ questions about professional policy work in Austria and enables a cross-border exchange of knowledge. The appearance of the association is accompanied by several lectures in the congress and the panel discussion “And you like that? – Professional political view into the neighboring country” on the first day of the fair. Together with Markus Norys, board member of the Bavarian State Association of PHYSIO DEUTSCHLAND, the President of Physio Austria, Constance Schlegl, talks about similarities and differences in professional policy work for physiotherapy.
Top-class symposium: Interdisciplinary therapy for Long COVID
In the treatment of long COVID patients, interdisciplinary cooperation, networking of different disciplines and continuous scientific exchange are indispensable. The importance of interdisciplinary cooperation in rehabilitation is addressed by the symposium “Interdisciplinary challenges in long COVID therapy” on 28. November. Dr. med. Alexander Steinmann, Head of the Public Health Service Department of the Bavarian State Ministry of Health and Nursing, Dr. med Doris Ch. Klinger, head of the Vitos Clinic for Psychosomatics Weilmünster, and Frank Thömmes, graduate sports teacher and DFB football teacher, talk about psychosocial influencing factors and psychosocial care at Long COVID, the initiatives of the Bavarian State Ministry of Health and Nursing and how corresponding training therapies can be successfully implemented. The event is organized and moderated by the Association for Physiotherapy (VPT).
Physiotherapy in professional sports and offers for junior employees
The VPT is dedicated to young therapeutic talent with the lecture series “next generation”. In four lectures, prospective therapists gain insights into the diverse career opportunities of physiotherapy and valuable tips for starting a career. Knut Stamer, physiotherapist at FC Bayern Munich, answers questions about sports physiotherapy and the care of competitive athletes on the 29th. November, 3 p.m. in the action forum of the exhibition hall. This involves, among other things, the daily work with the top athletes as well as the differences and intersections between physiotherapy in popular and competitive sports.
