Successful combination of therapy HAMBURG, 11. International Hamburg Sports Congress and Symposium of TopSportVereine
With a growth in the number of visitors and exhibitors, the organizers of therapie HAMBURG 2022 draw a consistently positive balance. On the 28th and 29th In October, 120 exhibitors presented their product innovations and services in a sold-out exhibition hall. The wide range of products and the specialized program with certified training opportunities of therapie HAMBURG attracted 2,700 physiotherapists, occupational and sports therapists, trainers and trainers of rehabilitation and health sports as well as over 500 other participants of the parallel events to the CCH – Congress Center Hamburg.
“We are pleased that therapie HAMBURG has also significantly exceeded our expectations in its third edition,” sums up Martin Buhl-Wagner, Managing Director of Leipziger Messe. “The continuous growth of the event shows that the industry needs trade fairs for exchange and personal encounters. In addition to therapie LEIPZIG as the largest national meeting place, our regional events in Hamburg, Munich and Düsseldorf take place at just the right time in the right place.”
Bernd Aufderheide, Chairman of the Management Board of Hamburg Messe und Congress, adds: “The continued success of therapie HAMBURG confirms how much this industry meeting is needed in northern Germany. We are pleased that therapie HAMBURG continues to have a permanent place in our event calendar.”
Filled exhibition hall: Visitor quality creates a positive atmosphere
Parallel to the HAMBURG therapy, the 11th International Hamburg Sports Congress as well as the symposium “Health THROUGH Sport” of the TopSportVereine Metropolregion Hamburg. The parallelism of the event trio offered both exhibitors and congress participants significant added value: While the participants of the sports congress were enriched with new suggestions for their trainer and trainer activities in the trade exhibition, the exhibitors of therapie HAMBURG were given access to another target group.
The professional qualification of the visitors and the quality of the conversations held were rated as very positive by over 90 percent of the exhibitors. This was the result of a survey by the independent market research company Gelszus Messe-Marktforschung (GMM). The contacts with potential customers and the prospect of good business success were also confirmed by the visitor survey: According to this, two-thirds of trade visitors exerted a (co-) decisive or advisory influence on purchasing and procurement decisions in their companies or practices. In addition to the exhibitors, the visitors were also very satisfied: 88 percent of visitors consider the visit to therapie HAMBURG to be very worthwhile and recommend the event.
Focus on the interests of the profession
therapie HAMBURG was also a successful event for the German Association for Physiotherapy – PHYSIO-GERMANY and the other professional associations involved in the fair, where they were able to set current and important professional policy impulses. “The HAMBURG therapy has offered us a successful communication platform. In intensive exchange with the organized and unorganized therapists, we were once again able to get a mood picture of the industry,” says Thomas von Hahn, board member in the northern network of PHYSIO-GERMANY. It turns out that as a professional association, we share the interests of the professional group with our political work but also our comprehensive services one-to-one and represent them. At the same time, it is also important to us to promote research in physiotherapy in order to support modern and evidence-based patient care. We were able to contribute to this with our new format Science Slam Contest, at which young scientists presented their physiotherapy research topics.”
