The partners of the forum have jointly developed the overall program of GlobalConnect: In addition to the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Tourism of the State of Baden-Württemberg, the Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Handwerk International and Baden-Württemberg International also contribute to the numerous modules of the event.
The opening discussion with Dr. Nicole Hoffmeister Kraut MdL, Minister of Economic Affairs, Labour and Tourism Baden-Württemberg, focuses on the effects of the current geopolitical changes on the Baden-Württemberg economy. The subsequent economic congress deals with current challenges for companies, such as international and sustainable supply chains and their risk management, as well as the dangers of cybersecurity. Sustainability, a central economic goal of the EU, as well as the worldwide opportunities for greentech “made in Baden-Württemberg” are also topics of the congress.
Information and exchange on the framework conditions and opportunities on individual country markets are an important part of GlobalConnect. For example, the Economic Congress sheds light on the development of the British export market after Brexit. Own events of the GlobalConnect partners are dedicated to the major international markets of the USA and China. India will also present itself here.
The GlobalConnect sets its own accent with the 3. Africa Summit, to which high-ranking guests from several African countries are expected. Experts and entrepreneurs discuss several topics in which there are opportunities for sales, investment and cooperation in Africa: These include innovative concepts in the energy industry, in the agri-food industry as well as the mobility and automotive sector.
The obvious markets in the European neighborhood are also topics of GlobalConnect: Central and Eastern Europe have become increasingly important as export and procurement markets in recent years and will introduce themselves in a joint event. Another European topic: The posting of employees to other EU countries has become a challenge for small and medium-sized companies that is not always easy to overcome, on which GlobalConnect offers information and assistance. Another workshop will examine how internationalization can provide answers to the problem of the shortage of skilled workers and report on experiences with recruitment and qualification abroad.
The Zollforum Baden-Württemberg, organized by the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Baden-Württemberg, offers a knowledge update for export and import managers as well as specialists and executives in international sales.
During GlobalConnect, the exhibition area in the foyer of the ICS becomes a place of intensive personal exchange of visitors with the partners and participants of the event, the exhibiting companies and the market experts who came from all over the world. Two modules enable visitors to GlobalConnect to prepare in a very targeted manner: A free cooperation exchange organized by the European Enterprise Network enables the identification of suitable interlocutors and an appointment in advance. This is also possible again as part of the International Consultation Day with the well over 30 experts from the Chambers of Commerce abroad who travel to GlobalConnect from Africa, Asia, Europe and North America. They can be used to explore concrete projects, market development measures and the search for cooperation partners in new markets.
The website of the event now informs about all topics and presentations of GlobalConnect. Here you will not only find the continuously updated programs of the individual events, but also press releases from the partners and exhibitors of the event. On the website you will also find the links for individual registration for the cooperation exchange and the International Consulting Day. The partners of GlobalConnect and Messe Stuttgart enable participants to visit the vast majority of modules of the entire event free of charge.
