The indoor riding event offered from the 4th to the 6th November 2022 at Messe Chemnitz again exciting jumping and dressage sports and a varied show program for the whole family.

On this tournament weekend, a total of around 150 riders from ten nations with approx. 350 horses at the start. On today’s last day of the tournament, the winning loops were waiting for the winners of the four final jumps.

The all-important grand finale for the Casco Intern Grand Prix. GmbH and the LAUB – DIE IMMOBILIENGRUPPE and the honorary award of the Chemnitz Mitsubishi dealership Gering & Pfeiffer GmbH and Sächsische Lotto GmbH – a brand new Mitsubishi Space Star Select – had worth seeing show jumping. The 48 best horse-horse couples from six nations met in a very demanding course. The course demanded a lot from the riders, only eight starters reached the winning round with zero error points. Last starter, last year’s second Mylen Kruse from Lower Saxony rode into the course and pulverized all the times in front of her with a super-fast and error-free round and sat in first place. But she was not yet sure of her victory in Chemnitz. The subsequent round of winners could hardly be surpassed in excitement. Accompanied by roaring applause from the stands, 12 riders-horse pairs fought for victory in a gripping jump. As the tenth starter, Sabrina Berger from RSG Amberg-Köfering e.V. surprisingly took the lead with the 12-year-old Holstein Quidams star Melloni in a quick round, which the last two starters, including Mylen Kruse, could no longer take away from her. The 41-year-old Amazon rightly cheered after this great ride. “I have often been to the tournament in Chemnitz and now it has finally worked out with the victory,” says the radiant winner. “I like to come to Chemnitz. The conditions and especially the tournament floor are simply perfect for the riders.” Thus, the Grand Prix will remain in female hands in 2022, after world champion Simone Blum won the tournament in 2021. Gerrit Flücken finished second in the place of Caran d’Ache from RV Montabaur-Horressen e.V. The young rider from the Ahr Valley was present for the third time at the GRAND PRIZE OF SAXONY. Behind it is a hard year due to the area affected by the floods. “I am overjoyed that I can ride tournaments with my horses again. I would like to come back to Chemnitz,” says Gerrit Flücken. In just over two weeks, he will rejo in the CSI in Belgium. Third place went to Michael Symmangk on Caillaux. The native Saxon, who won team jumping for Westphalia, among others, was satisfied with his performance. “My horses were in top shape. I am happy about the good placements during the tournament,” says the likeable show jumper, who is a guest in Chemnitz every year. The Saxons won 5th to 7th place: Michael Kölz reached 5th place ahead of Benjamin Wulschner and Manuel Prause with Cellato.

The start was made in the morning by the final of the Small Tour. Here Kathrin Müller from ZRFV Voßwinkel e.V. won the golden loop in a two-phase S* jumping with Vegas in a flawless round. Michael Symmangk secured second place with Nabab’s Uno Z ahead of European champion André Thieme in the saddle of Magic Hoop. Teresa Häsler from RFV Seifersdorf e.V. also placed in the front ranks with Celtique with 4th place. In the final of the amateur rider tour for the price of the LAUB – DIE IMMOBILIENGRUPPE and WTS Wirtschafts Treuhand Sachsen GmbH, 14 riders-horse pairs reached the sting. Michael Hagemann with Blissfully Yours won first place ahead of Marcel Grote with Blondie KL and Bettina Eufinger with Catanzaro. The Chemnitz amateur rider and entrepreneur Malte Laub from PSV Leisnig e.V. entered the race with two horses and was able to place 11th place in the saddle of Chino 21.

In particular, the promotion of young talent is important to the organizer team. Eight young rider-horse couples qualified for the pony jumping competition. In the end, the riding couple Evi Klug from LRV Immenrode e.V. had the fastest ride in the course with their pony Very Sweety and flew flawlessly to victory with 34.28 seconds. Last year’s winner Marlene Grabner from RFV Lengenfeld/Vogtland e.V. got the silver bow with her Pony Nutella. Feryy Neubert was happy about third place with Conni.
