POWTECH is taking off. From 26th to 28th September 2023, the European processing trade fair will take place in Nuremberg – almost exactly one year after POWTECH 2022. More than 700 exhibitors from many countries will once again attract numerous regional and international visitors. It is already becoming apparent that the official expansion of trade fair topics from pure powder and bulk material processing to all fluid technologies attracts new exhibitors. The thematic expansion met with overwhelming approval among this year’s trade visitors. If you want to benefit from the early bird discount as an exhibitor, you can secure your stand until Christmas 2022.

POWTECH in autumn 2023 sets new accents: The organizer expands the range of products of the leading trade fair for process engineering and explicitly includes the processing and handling of liquids. The next POWTECH will be launched as the International Processing Trade Fair for Powder, Bulk Solids, Fluids and Liquids.
Integrate processes, include liquids and fluids
NürnbergMesse thus takes into account the development that powder and bulk material processing combines with fluid and liquid technologies in many target industries of POWTECH to form an integrated process. In the chemical industry, for example, liquids become trickling granules; numerous liquid additives are mixed with powdered templates. In the food industry, it is often necessary to disperse powders in liquids. Slurry concepts open up new possibilities. And manufacturers of cosmetics and pharmaceuticals require a wide variety of feeding and processing processes for solid, semi-solid and liquid products for the production of liquids such as creams or drops as well as Solida.
Marianny Eisenhofer, Director POWTECH, explains: “The key to increasingly efficient, sustainable processes lies in looking at and optimizing them integrated. Numerous of the exhibitors traditionally represented at POWTECH have long been making a major contribution to this.” Heike Slotta, Executive Director Exhibitions at NürnbergMesse, adds: “The repositioning opens up the leading trade fair POWTECH to other European providers of solutions for the production and processing of powders, granules, bulk materials and liquids.”
Double pass with the PARTEC Congress
The booking process for the stands is in full swing. Until Christmas 2022, an early bird discount applies, which many exhibitors have already secured. More than 700 will be in six exhibition halls from the 26th to the 28th. September 2023 expected. It is not only the thematic expansion that should contribute to success. The parallel three-day PARTEC, the international scientific congress for particle technology, funded by the VDI Society for Process Engineering and Chemical Engineering (GVC), enhances the exhibition once again. In the past, he has regularly proven to be a crowd puller for scientists, young scientists and engineers from all over the world. The Call for Papers is already running; the deadline for submissions is the 15th. January 2023. The focus will be on “Particle Technology for Sustainable Products” in 2023.
With the presentation of current research results, PARTEC is thus a focus that several exhibitors have already occupied at POWTECH 2022. Some filled, among other things, an informative afternoon on the topic of “New Energy” as part of the stagetalks at the POWTECH expert forum. These will again set new thematic accents for a wide variety of visitor groups on all three days of the fair next year. Exhibitors will find the opportunity to present innovative approaches, pilot projects and new marketable solutions to interested trade fair visitors and to enter into a constructive dialogue with them. The digital dissemination of the lectures, during and after the fair, will ensure an even greater impact of the valuable impulses next year.
Digital attunement to the big trends of the time
The digital lecture series of virtualtalks will continue as early as January 2023. Every month, three experts get in the mood for POWTECH and inform about promising trends. These include sustainable energy supply, resource conservation and circular economy. In addition, digitization in development, process optimization and logistics, new, environmentally friendly nutrition concepts and new technologies in pharmacy are addressed. In addition to the ideal sponsors of POWTECH, VDI and APV, the VDMA is also providing impetus for the further orientation of the leading European trade fair as part of an extended partnership.
