【DE】Martin Ecknig leaves Messe Berlin |

The Supervisory Board of Messe Berlin and Martin Ecknig have agreed on the termination of his contract as Chairman of the Management Board. The acting chairmanship of the management is now taken over by CFO Dirk Hoffmann. The Personnel and Presidential Committee has been commissioned by the Supervisory Board to immediately initiate proceedings for the replacement of the position of CEO of Messe Berlin.

Dr. Eric Schweitzer, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Messe Berlin: “After the pandemic-related crisis, Messe Berlin is on the right track: Numerous live events have been successfully held this year, further trade fairs and events are in the starting blocks for 2023. Dirk Hoffmann has our full confidence that he will successfully shape the transition phase.”

Martin Ecknig has been Managing Director of Messe Berlin GmbH since January 2021.
