Friedrichshafen – The largest motorcycle fair in southern Germany heats fans of motorized two-wheelers from the 27th to the 29th. January 2023 again: In eight halls, the Motorradwelt Bodensee serves action, offers and trends around motorcycles, scooters, trikes and quads for three days. “After a two-year corona break, the Bodensee motorcycle world continues its journey to success,” says Klaus Wellmann, Managing Director of Messe Friedrichshafen. The combination of trade fair, event program and live platform for the community makes the motorcycle world a must for the start of the new season. Brand new this year: Ladies’ World connects passionate motorcyclists – and those who still want to become one.
“It has long been clear that women not only like to sit on the back of the motorcycle, but also on the handlebars themselves. The newly established Ladies’ World focuses on this constantly growing biker community,” explains project manager Petra Rathgeber. Whether newcomer or already an expert, women with a passion for motorcycling meet like-minded people to exchange and network there. Participating exhibitors also present their current offers that meet the requirements of today’s drivers.
Off-the-shelf motorcycles? There is no trace of this in the customizing area. Creative heads and screwdriver aces present their unusual designs there – from the all-round individualized machine with unusual colors to extravagant conversions. Under the motto “Glemseck 101 meets motorcycle world” the MO special show is also resuming: The exhibition of daring and unique converted bikes in Foyer West brings the colorful diversity of Germany’s legendary motorcycle meeting to Friedrichshafen.
Whether on one leg, hands-free or even backwards: stuntrider Chris Rid demonstrates sophisticated two-wheel acrobatics and proves his talent on the machine. Meanwhile, the Supermoto drivers sweep across the racetrack at breathtaking speed, because every second advantage counts here. In the FMX jump, the motocross professionals of the Wrecking Crew seem to disable gravity for a moment during jumps and salti over ramps. Meanwhile, the bold performances and tricks of the trial and quad stunt show seem less spectacular. If you it itches from watching even in your fingers, you can make the varied test tracks unsafe on various motorized two- or four-wheelers. The two-wheeled offspring can do their first rounds on the children’s course, while the quad course offers plenty of practice space for the curious. More experienced bike fans can refine their balance during inclined training.
Screwing, working, repairing: The living workshop provides insights into the craft professions of the industry at the Motorradwelt Bodensee. If you have any questions about training and professional content, the prospective professionals of the Breisach Trade School are available to answer those interested.
The saddlebags are already packed: Whether the weekend adventure in the region, the trip across Europe, along legendary serpentines or on straight roads into the sunset, the travel market provides inspiration for the next motorcycle holiday. In the versatile lecture program of the travel stage, visitors with wanderlust learn everything from biker-friendly accommodation to insider tips for traveling in the saddle.
