After a corona-related extended trade fair break of three years, the advertising technology industry will meet again in Stuttgart in the spring of 2023. The organizing team of the fair is very much looking forward to the high popularity and the numerous registrations from Germany and Europe. This is a big “yes” from the industry to want to meet live again in March. “The joy of the upcoming wetec is huge. We have great exhibitors on board again, including market leaders and many new companies that have never presented themselves at wetec, says Nadine Dingert, manager of trade fair and event management at Messe Stuttgart. These include names such as Buth Engraving Systems, Inapa Complott, swissQprint and vhf camfacture, but also foreign companies such as Grafityp Selfadhesive Products N.V., Imazu Publicidad or Werbetechniker.cc. Meanwhile, the acquisition for the upcoming trade fair continues unabated. “After three years, the world of advertising technology, digital printing and the lighting industry will return to Stuttgart and both exhibitors and visitors can be prepared for a wide range of products and exciting special shows,” emphasizes Nadine Dingert.
Participate and tackle
Particular attention is paid, among other things, to the WORK AND DO area. There, a project will be implemented live in cooperation with manufacturers, advertising technicians and everyone who wants to tackle it. According to Martin Gerhardts from Signforum24 e.V. and head of the WORK AND DO Area, the plan is to build system furniture made of tension frames and aluminum composite panels every day of the fair. Different processing techniques such as laser cutting and various advertising materials such as 3D advertising letters are to be used. “We also want to show how to glue hoods of vehicles and where the pitfalls are,” Martin Gerhardts continues.
It will also be interesting at Corel’s stand. As in the past, graphic designers and other experts show the advertising technicians present how to exploit the full potential of Corel Draw for their own business. “We are very much looking forward to getting in live contact with the industry and advertising technicians again after three years and being able to exchange ideas,” says Jörg Rieger from Corel.
Online in advance
In order to shorten the waiting time until the trade fair in March, the Messe Stuttgart team has thought about something. In times of Facebook and Instagram, it is essential to be represented on social media, emphasizes Nadine Dingert. That’s why there is an exhibitor campaign, a sneak preview of the fair, in the run-up to the trade fair network. As part of this, companies and companies exhibiting up to the fair will be presented on the social media channels and give insight into their field of responsibility and what they want to present to the public in Stuttgart. In this way, trade fair visitors can get an idea in advance and get in the mood for three exciting and colorful trade fair days.
Until wetec takes place at the end of March, the team led by Nadine Dingert will continue to refine the program and complete the exhibitor offer. The entire program as well as a preliminary list of exhibitors can be found on the Messe Stuttgart website from 2023.
