After two years of pandemic-related interruption, the LIPSIA Federal Show returned to the Leipzig Trade Fair. However, due to a short-term order from the Veterinary Office of the City of Leipzig, only pigeons are issued. In parallel, the 14th State show of the Saxon breed rabbit breeders took place at the Leipzig Fair.
The LIPSIA-Bundesschau, traditionally organized by the Leipziger Rassegeflügelzüchterverein 1869 e.V. (LRGZV), is the most important date of the year for breeders from all over Germany. The anticipation was correspondingly great that LIPSIA could finally take place again at the beginning of December. Only on Monday, 28. November, the display of waterfowl and poultry was prohibited by the authorities for animal health reasons. The LIPSIA therefore takes place as a pure pigeon show. There are again numerous animals on sale on site and exhibitors offer an extensive sales offer for all areas of breeding and husbandry as well as club life in the accompanying industrial exhibition.
The state show of the Saxon pedigree rabbit breeders takes place every two years and also welcomes breeders from other federal states. With the 14th State association show will also take place on the 2nd German Herdbuchschau and the 1. Long-haired comparison show takes place at the Leipzig Trade Fair. The breeders show 4,050 breed rabbits, which means that the show can record a renewed increase compared to previous years.
