【DE】Innovations “made in Germany” – Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection supports start-ups at GIFA, METEC, THERMPROCESS and NEWCAST

Young, innovative companies involved in the Düsseldorf world’s leading trade fairs for metallurgy from the 12th to the 16th. June 2023, you can now apply to Messe Düsseldorf and apply for funding from the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection (BMWK).

The funding offers newcomers ideal options to present themselves and their developments to a top-class professional audience from all over the world and to enter new international markets within the framework of a BMWK joint stand.

Basic requirements for participation are:

Foundation of the company within the last ten years

Number of employees under 50

Annual turnover of no more than 10 million EUR

The company headquarters and business operations are located in the FRG

The Federal Office of Economics and Export Control (BAFA) covers up to 60% of the stand costs (up to a total of EUR 7,500). The young start-up scene can book exhibition stands in a size of 6, 9 or 12 square meters. Within the BMWK pavilion, a lounge area offers the right ambience to make international business contacts. In addition, every trade fair participation is advertised on the Internet portal for foreign trade fairs German Pavilion.

The BMWK joint stand is organized by Messe Düsseldorf. Together with the AUMA (Exhibition and Trade Fair Committee of the German Economy) and GTAI (Germany Trade and Invest GmbH), it offers participants trade fair and marketing know-how. This is complemented by competent on-site support by employees of Messe Düsseldorf, which makes it easier for start-ups to perform at the fair. The system stands offered are created in the design “made in Germany” and are therefore clearly recognizable to the professional audience.

Networking and experiencing the trade fair events live is not only a top priority for start-up participation. As in the past, the course of exhibitor registrations for all four trade fairs suggests an international participation of superlatives. In addition to the international key players in the metallurgical industry, a strong medium-sized business is represented.
