【DE】Green Week 2023: everything important for visiting the International Green Week

For almost three years, the International Green Week could not take place live at the Berlin exhibition center as usual – now the time has come: On the 20th. In January, the IGW finally opens its doors under the radio tower again.

Ticket to the International Green Week

Visitors can get tickets for the IGW online in the ticket shop. In order to avoid long queues on site, we recommend buying tickets in advance via the Green Week ticket shop. Helpdesks are available at the entrances to the fair. Here, our local staff supports the purchase of the online ticket. Thanks to a cooperation with the Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe (BVG), vouchers for the popular Green Week tickets “Tageskarte”, “Happy Hour Ticket” and “Tageskarte Sonntag” can be purchased directly at the points of sale and at the yellow ticket machines.


Site plan and exhibitor overview

In order not to lose track of all the exhibitors, theme worlds and stages, there is the interactive grounds and hall plan of the International Green Week. Entrances, parking spaces, theme worlds and exhibitors are noted here. Visitors can thus get an overview of the entire IGW site. The exhibitor overview summarizes all exhibitors – from A for ABLIG to Z for Zoom Fresh.


Event times

The International Green Week will take place from the 20th to the 29th. January 2023. Open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday the 27th January is the long Friday of Green Week, where visitors can discover the Green Week until 8 p.m. From 27th to 29th In January 2023, Hippologica, Berlin’s largest indoor riding tournament, will take place in parallel.


Arrival by public transport

The Berlin exhibition center is very well connected to the Berlin public transport network with the S-Bahn stations Messe Süd and Messe Nord.

S-Bahn: S3 and S9 to Messe Süd station; S3, S5, S7, S9 to Westkreuz station; S41, S42, S46 to Messe Nord station

Subway: U2 to Kaiserdamm or Theodor-Heuss-Platz stations

Bus: 104, 139, 218, 349, M49 to Messedamm/ZOB and with the bus lines X34, X49 to Theodor-Heuss-Platz or Messe Nord / ICC.


Arriving by car

Travelling by car is also no problem – visitors use the address “Messedamm 26, 14055 Berlin” here.

There are a limited number of parking spaces available at the exhibition center. Visitors will also find parking spaces in Masurenallee and in the multi-storey car park in the ICC Berlin. From the Olympic Stadium there is a free bus shuttle to the exhibition center. (Except on the last day of the event due to the home match of Hertha BSC in the Olympic Stadium.) No restrictions due to Corona at the exhibition center

The legislator does not currently set any special requirements for the holding of events. There are no access restrictions, contact tracking or mask requirement at the exhibition center. In public transport, the wearing of a mask is mandatory in Berlin and Brandenburg.


Green Week app

In order for visitors to have all information about the International Green Week directly at hand, there is a new app for IGW 2023 with an exhibitor overview, information on the theme worlds, the site plan and a lot of information about Green Week. The app “IGW” can now be downloaded free of charge from the Appstore and GooglePlay Store. Registration in the app is not necessary.


Banks/ ATMs

There are various ATMs at the exhibition center. On the one hand in Hall 19, in the middle foyer hall 1.2b/2.2b and in Hub27.


Note on the ticket shop:

This year, Green Week is relying entirely on online tickets for the first time. Tickets can be purchased at www.gruenewoche.de/tickets. Helpdesks are available at the entrances to the fair. Here, our local staff will assist you in purchasing the online ticket.

Registration for press representatives is only possible online. There will be no on-site accreditation, but is only possible online via the following link: https://www.gruenewoche.de/de/presse/akkreditierung/

About the International Green Week

The International Green Week Berlin is one of the most traditional trade fairs in Germany and one of the best-known events in Germany. Founded in 1926 in Berlin in the Golden Twenties, it is unique as the leading international trade fair for food, agriculture and horticulture.
