It will be iconic again at the Erfurt exhibition center. After a two-year forced break, the model building fair “Modell Leben” celebrates from the 10th to the 12th. February 2023 and transforms two exhibition halls into a versatile, breathtaking model building paradise.

Picturesque mountain landscapes, idiosyncratic industrial areas, idyllic forests, detailed station facilities in mini format with moving trains, await visitors at the “Life Model”. Model railway systems designed with great attention to detail offer a lot of sights for the visitor’s eye.

On an area of 14,000 square meters, companies, associations, institutions, dealers and private exhibitors present themselves for the ninth time in terms of model making, games and entertainment. Almost 100 company and club exhibitors make the lovers’ hearts of big and small model making fans beat faster. Whether airplanes, cars, railways, tanks, ships, trucks, excavators or multicopters: model makers, hobbyists, collectors and curious people get their money’s worth here.

Once again, the Modellbahnverband in Deutschland e.V. (MOBA) Partner of the Thuringian Model Building Fair. Nine top-class plants are presented by the MOBA and thus offer a top-class model railway show.

Raik Stäber, known in the international model truck scene, will once again show that he can do it at the “Modell Leben” – the Thuringian Model Building Fair. The passionate model building fan will conjure up a nostalgic landscape through which he sets the heaviest model railway train (model size II/track G) in motion. With at least 1,000kg, the railway will embark on a proof journey more than 100 meters long. If this project succeeds, Raik Stäber goes into the history books and receives a registered (world) record.

The “Life Model” has a lot to offer not only for model railway fans. Visitors who are interested in model flight, ship model making, military model making or funfair model making will get their money’s worth and will be electrified by the diversity of the model building fair.
