In about two weeks, MEDIZIN, trade fair and congress will open its doors for outpatient medical care, as one of the most important specialist events in the health sector in Stuttgart. Certified CME training, information on current developments in the industry as well as the presentation of new products will be available from the 3rd to the 5th. February in the focus of MEDICINE. “The health sector is currently facing numerous challenges and at the same time has proven its enormous social relevance,” says Claudia Döttinger, Member of the Management Board of Messe Stuttgart. Visitors to medicine can not only look forward to a wide range of programs, but also to content that offers them concrete assistance in everyday work.
Shortage of staff requires efficiency
A highlight of the congress program of MEDIZIN 2023 is the 57th Medical Congress of the District Medical Association of North Wuerttemberg. With around 50 seminars, the program is not only comprehensive, but also imparts up-to-date knowledge for medical practice, such as initial care. “Because established medical practices and outpatient care facilities act as the first point of contact for a wide variety of health complaints, knowledge updates are of great importance in this area,” emphasizes Dr. Klaus Baier, President of the District Medical Association. “The more targeted the initial diagnoses are made, the more effectively all disciplines involved can participate in the further care route. Against the background of the increasing shortage of doctors, this aspect will continue to gain in importance in the future.” Topics on the care situation, the health system in general and the situation of people who wear the system and ensure the quality of treatments are also the focus of many other offers from the trade fair, congress and supporting program of MEDIZIN 2023.
Digital health on wheels
Digitization and telemedicine “to touch” promises a visit to the Digital Health Truck, which stops at its roadshow 2022/2023 during the MEDIZIN trade fair period at the Stuttgart exhibition center. The truck of the Coordination Office Telemedicine Baden-Württemberg brings exhibits and technical developments on digital health on site to the representatives of the health professions. Among other things, the vehicle is equipped with Gematik telematics infrastructure (ePA, eRezept), digital health applications, video consultation and remote patient monitoring systems as well as wearables and VR devices. The exhibits can be tried out by interested parties themselves.
Also this year, Messe Stuttgart relies on the recipe for success of the trade fair double MEDIZIN and TheraPro Fachmesse + Kongress, which creates optimal synergies for visitors.
