Less than one more week until the shopping and adventure area opens the doors for hunters, anglers, gourmets and nature lovers
Next Tuesday, the 24th January opens Europe’s largest hunting fair JAGD & HUND, at the same time as the FISCH & ANGEL fair and the culinary WILD FOOD FESTIVAL (24.1. – 29.1.2023). Exhibitors from all over the world present themselves to an international audience. An attractive, wide-ranging program with a new lecture stage, an expanded workshop offer and discussion panels with exhibitor sizes make the trio an unforgettable experience for hunters, nature fans and the whole family. Already at the beginning of the fair, top-class guests from politics and important industry representatives are expected.
Dortmund – Silke Gorißen, Minister of Agriculture and Consumer Protection of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, will give a keynote speech at the opening of this year’s JAGD & HUND. The mayor of the city of Dortmund Norbert Schilff and the president of the hunting used dog association Karl Walch also speak the greeting. The opening comes from Nicole Heitzig, President of the Landesjagdverband NRW e.V. In addition, the industry will also be represented by international figures at the opening ceremony. Among them Torbjörn Larsson, President of the European Federation for Hunting and Conservation (FACE) and Dr. Sebastian Winkler, Director General and Dr. Tamás Marghescu, Ambassador of the CIC – International Council for Game and Wildlife Conservation. In addition, the ambassador of the Republic of Botswana, Mmasekgo Masire-Mwamba, will also speak on site.
Adventure area for the whole family: interesting facts, action & hands-on activities
JAGD & HUND attracts annually to Messe Dortmund with a comprehensive range of products, novelties from international exhibitors, but also a varied supporting program. In order to meet the high demands of modern hunters, the fair is constantly evolving. Visitors can therefore expect numerous innovations and extras at JAGD & HUND 2023. So they can look forward to a new stage: in addition to the event space in Hall 3, the action stage in Hall 4, the HORRIDO blogger area in Hall 7 and the WILD FOOD FESTIVAL stage in Hall 8, the trade fair spectrum has been expanded by a lecture stage in Hall 5. In addition, there is a new range of specialist workshops at the exhibition center as well as a hunter’s regulars’ table and meeting place with well-known exhibitors from the hunting industry, who inform the audience about the latest product and exhibitor highlights.
Sought-after contact points at Europe’s largest hunting fair are also the demonstrations of hunting used dogs and birds of prey as well as the off-road vehicle course. But the culinary marketplace – the WILD FOOD FESTIVAL – also invites you to an eventful day at the fair in Dortmund. Gourmets and lovers of good cuisine get their money’s worth here, because they meet star, star and TV chefs in workshops and on stage, who chat from the sewing box and reveal the perfect preparation of venison specialties.
Attractive range of products and information for anglers
From the 24th January to 29. January, FISCH & ANGEL will also present itself again at Messe Dortmund. Lectures by star anglers, tips from prominent experts and last but not least the range of fishing accessories, equipment and clothing make the fair a fixed date in the calendar of every angler. Once again this year, visitors can look forward to the Fishing and Sea Fishing Forum. Because here they get insights into the world of professional anglers in exciting lectures – fishing tips and tricks included.
