- Visitors from 93 countries visit Düsseldorf
- Until Sunday, there are plenty of boats, boards and fun in 16 exhibition halls
At the half-time of the fair, boot Düsseldorf 2023 is fully on track. Until Wednesday, 25. January, more than 115,000 fans visited the world’s largest water sports fair. “We are particularly pleased with the high internationality of our guests. Water sports enthusiasts and professionals from 93 countries have so far traveled to Düsseldorf. There is a top mood in the halls,” says boot Director Petros Michelidakis. 1,500 manufacturers of boats, boards, diving accessories as well as travel destinations and associations are on board in Düsseldorf.
However, the boat is not only the most important industry meeting place of the year, but also unites the entire water sports community. Their supporting program shines with accompanying events as a large family reunion and indispensable contact exchange for personal conversations and live encounters. Traditionally, this includes the glamorous blue motion night. In Hall 6 on Monday evening, 23. January, the company Innovation Yachts was awarded the “ocean tribute” Award 2023. Werft Innovation Yachts has designed and manufactured the world’s first fully recyclable and sustainable composite catamaran for series production. The IY LBV35 is the first model of a new series of sustainable and fully recyclable boats and is electrically powered by solar energy and hydrogenator. As an optional equipment, this catamaran has a “sea cleaning system”, which means that it can lower the trampoline at the front when sailing to collect floating garbage. The Fürst Albert II Foundation, boot Düsseldorf and the German Marine Foundation support people, institutions, associations, research institutions and projects in their commitment to marine protection with the award and have been awarding the €20,000 prize at boot Düsseldorf annually since 2018.
Until Sunday, water sports fans still have the chance to spend eventful days in the Düsseldorf exhibition halls. The 54th boot Düsseldorf is open daily from 10:00 to 18:00.
