The band around Thomas Stelzer is characterized by the way of playing and the unmistakable way Thomas Stelzer combines singing and feeling. Its smoky blues tube also gives covered songs its own touch. Many titles are written by him and are based on various role models; from Professor Longhair, Fats Domino, Dr. John, Ray Charles, Vince Weber, to the Dirty Dozen Brassband, Joe Cocker or Buddy Guy. His musicians know how to support him unobtrusively but effectively.
The drummer usually accompanies the boogies with “broom wipes” on the small drum, a way of making music that has been known from old blueskneips since the 1920s. The “pepp” that this music experiences as a result is amazing and quickly tempts the listener to rock along. The involvement of various well-known musicians has resulted in a rarely found alternating cast, which is pleasantly different from many boogie and blues projects in that variety and unconventional playing always ensure pleasant freshness in the concerts. Threatening routine, as well as the usually miserable attempt of many bands to imitate originals, are thus excluded.
