At the GenussReise in Hamburg, regional and international producers present their delicacies

Food is a wonderful way to get in touch with a foreign country. If you want to discover the world culinary in February, you don’t necessarily need to get on the plane directly: On the GenussReise, which takes place as part of the Reisen & Caravaning in Hamburg, between the 8th and 12th. February 2023 all about delicacies from all over the world. For five days, the exhibition halls B1 and B2 of the Hamburger Messe will be transformed into a market of tastes.

Delicacies from near and far

On the GenussReise, visitors experience, for example, how good Germany tastes. Numerous exhibitors present national delicacies such as Black Forest ham and farmer’s bread. Of course, there are also wines, gin and eggnogs to taste and buy – and a counter where craft beer is served. If you prefer international food and drinks, you will also find what you are looking for in the two gourmet halls. Whether oriental spices, Mexican food, wild ham and salami from South Tyrol and Austria or Spanish quesadillas: With their delicacies, international producers bring the world to Hamburg. Cheese lovers will also get their money’s worth: For example, there is cheese with truffle, with fenugreek or goat’s milk. Visitors can also look forward to specialties such as Norwegian caramel cheese.

Conscious enjoyment and healthy nutrition

In addition, the topics of healthy nutrition and conscious enjoyment play an important role at the fair. At a slow food joint stand organized by Slow Food Hamburg, exhibitors show what is meant by “slow food”. They also provide information about responsible agriculture, species-appropriate livestock breeding and much more. Ham, grain and chocolate are only a fraction of the products presented at this stand.

Kitchen utensils are also presented as part of the GenussReise – for example, a handcrafted ceramic grater for vegetables, fruits and spices.

The strengthening in between is ensured

And because even the fittest trade fair visitor wants to take a break and strengthen himself, regional restaurateurs and food truck owners offer food for the big and small hunger. The offer includes classic street food such as hot dogs and burgers, but also ice cream, waffles or vegan delicacies.

Travel & Caravanning Hamburg

From 8th to 12th February 2023, eight trade fairs will take place in Hamburg that deal with the topics of travel and holidays. These include REISEN Hamburg, CARAVANING Hamburg, RAD Hamburg, KREUZFAHRTWELT Hamburg, FOTOHAVEN Hamburg as well as the GenussReise, the diving and snorkeling fair Interdive and the Hamburg Motorcycle Days as well as premieres.
