“God is not finished with Europe yet” – Under this motto, from the 28th December 2022 to 1. January 2023, around 2,300 young Christians from 40 European countries once again in the halls of Messe Karlsruhe to pray together at the turn of the year, exchange ideas with each other and celebrate the Christian faith. The versatile program included various seminars as well as plenary events with top-class speakers such as Oxford professor John Lennox, the head of the 24-7 prayer movement Pete Greig or the lawyer for justice Danielle Strickland. But joint leisure activities also gave room for encounters for the young Christians. The conclusion was a joint New Year’s Eve celebration.

The Christian world is once again a guest in Karlsruhe! After the successful implementation of the 11th General Assembly of the World Council of Churches in our inner-city congress center, we are now very pleased to now also host Christian youth. With the convertible premises at the exhibition center in Rheinstetten, we create a unique space for encounters and cultural networking,” says Holger Klanfer, Director Congress & Cultural Events.

The meetings of all participants took place in the dm-arena and were simultaneously translated from English into seven other languages. The conference rooms of the Messe Konferenz Center were available for the various seminars, while a prayer area was created in the Messetreff.

“The feedback of many participants was a strong hope for faith for Europe and a deep unity as a successor to Jesus, especially in the midst of all the crises and challenges of our time,” says Tim Engelmann of Revive Europe.
