• Accessibility of the halls
  Our entire exhibition center is accessible for wheelchair users. Halls 4 to 8 are interconnected and at ground level. The upper halls (Westfalenhalle and halls 1-3) as well as higher rooms in the congress center can be reached via lifts. In all halls you will find sanitary rooms suitable for the disabled, which are reserved for the exclusive use of visitors with physical disabilities via the Eurokey locking system.

    rental Wheelchairs can be hired from the porter at the north entrance against a deposit. (Attention: Only small quantities)

    Sanitary facilities
    The disabled toilets are located in the north entrance area, in the transition from hall 4 to hall 7, in the transition to hall 3, in the visitor passage and in the west entrance.

  • Hard of hearing
    Our London, Bruges, Bergen, Novgorod and Newsroom conference rooms are equipped with an inductive audio system.

    Wayfinding system
    Our wayfinding system is geared towards the needs of people with visual and learning disabilities in terms of contrast and comprehensibility.

  • Parking
    Our disabled parking spaces on the exhibition grounds are kept free by the security staff and are therefore not directly signposted. In this way, we ensure that, depending on the trade fair, the parking spaces closest to the respective entrance are available to you. When you arrive, please inform the car park attendant of your situation. Severely disabled people who have a blue additional pass for easier parking will be guided to a space near the entrance by the stewards. Parking on our exhibition grounds is free of charge for you.

At the JAGD & HUND, CREATIVA and INTERMODELLBAU trade fairs you can alternatively use our free “MesseExpress” shuttle bus. This runs every 10 minutes between the entrance areas and the surrounding parking lots. The bus stops are marked with a red "M" on the attached site plan. These are low-floor buses that can also be used by wheelchair users.

• • By public transport
    The easiest way to reach us is to take the U45 from Dortmund main station to the “Westfalenhallen U” stop. From there you can use the elevators available there to get directly to our exhibition grounds.

• • DEW21 special 
    transport service If you have the appropriate authorization, you can use the DEW21 transport service for the disabled. Eligible are fellow citizens who cannot travel by bus or train due to a disability. To do this, submit an informal application to the social welfare office of the city of Dortmund or send an email to: handicapped driving service[at]stadtdo[dot]de
