The first edition of the Paris Book Festival, which took place on April 22, 23 and 24, 2022, won over visitors to its new setting, the Grand Palais Ephémère and its spaces outside the walls in many prestigious places in the capital: Académie du Climat, CERI-Sciences Po, Sorbonne University and Catholic Institute of Paris, House of Poetry, Guimet Museum, Pantheon and Petit Palais.
The Festival proposed a new formulaover three days by programming meetings, concerts, exhibitions and workshops. 1,000 authors, 1,200 signing sessions, 300 publishers present, 250 interventions by authors including 50 outside the walls, 4,000 schoolchildren… The majority of meetings were full and the aisles were always full. This edition, free for the first time, marks a reunion with curious readers in a festive and warm atmosphere.
In addition to this program, original Literary Strolls proposed by Marie-Rose Guarnieri, president of the Verbes association, in mythical Parisian places: the Louvre, the Seine, Saint-Germain-des-Prés, a literary walk by bus, European meetings in various foreign cultural institutes.
